I've moved to the UK and it turns out that after 3 months of not using your SIM card, MTN deactivates your SIM without notice. Now this is really unfair since I had no notice of this termination - yet we as customers have to provide all our contact information. MTN has my e-mail address, and my physical address and yet made no attempt to notify me. This has been my number for over 10 years! And I am returning to South Africa :(

This has really caused problems for me, since my OTP gets sent to this number - which has locked me out of internet banking and online transactions.

Really disappointed.
